Chandrayaan 3 was launched on 14th July, 2023. This is India's moon mission to land on South pole of moon. ISRO has developed this space craft with utmost precision, so that we can get the best results.

5. 45 pm

>> Power decent has begun

>> lander module moving towards intended trajectory 


5.46 pm

>> lander module has travelled 228 km

>> 745 km is the total path to moon

>> Altitude 131 km

>> great beginning of rough breaking process


5.47 pm

>> altitude hold phase will begin

>> each and every movement of Lander module is evaluated

>> everything seems fine on lander module


5.48 pm

>> vertical velocity is decreasing

>> it is now 1150 m/s


5.50 pm

>> distance travelled is 574 km

>> half of the distance is travelled 


5.52 pm

>> middle of the rough breaking phase is ongoing

>> horizontal velocity is continuously decreasing 


5.54 pm

>> fine breaking process is ongoing

>> will continue for 3 minutes

>> velocity will go down to zero


5.57 pm

>> 2.6 km from moon's surface


5.59 pm 

>> vertical decent will begin now

>> performance is as expected 

6.00 pm

>> Lander module is at 200 meter height 

6.01 pm

>> module is hovering over moon surface 

6.02 pm

>> less than 50 meter height remaining 

6.03 pm 

>> Lander module has landed successfully
