What to do if NEET score is not as expected?
The results of NEET 2023 as compared to the result of NEET 2022 are quite high and also the applicants number are also high. The qualifying score for needs 2023 is 137 this is 20 marks higher than 117 which was cutoff score of neet 2022. 20 marks leap has left many students unqualified and worrisome.

Talking about safe marks these are just numbers which are expected currently. They depend upon many many things like number of MBBS seats,number of people qualified etc. So the safe score might decrease if the number of MBBS seats are increased.
Also, don't forget that you cannot only apply for MBBS college through AIQ but state quota, too. State quota has relatively lower score for government medical college admission then that of AIQ. If your scores is around 5 to 10 marks low then save score then you should definitely wait and watch. There are chances that you might get admission in last round that is mop up round of MBBS admission.
But if you think your scores are way below then the safe score, you might not get admission into government medical college. But this isn't the end bro! There are many more options to get into MBBS. You can get admission in Management quota, or you can try for GMERS colleges.
If you still think your marks are not high enough for MBBS, you can also try for other medical branches such as homeopathy, Ayurveda, Veterinary etc. Dentistry is also a great career option if you are capable to bear it's educational cost.
Apart from that you can also go for paramedical field. This also has vast opportunities. Physiotherapy, Radiology, Medical Lab technology, Nursing and many more.
We suggest that you should wait for making any further decision till the first round of admission begins. Because after that we would get a clear picture of number of seats and your chances of getting into a MBBS course.

But If you really really want to get into MBBS and your scores aren't above or near the safe score, then one option is to take a year drop. If already you have decided for taking a drop, then start studying from today. So that your time doesn't waste.
